Vallereggi Pool & View

We left after only a few hours and didn't even stay the night. The pool had a green strip of moss and was dirty, nothing like the online photos. The apartment's bathrooms were clean, but elsewhere it wasn't: there was a winter sock in a drawer in the first double bedroom, and dust and dirt in drawers in the second bedroom. That sock made me think the drawer might not have been cleaned for months. The folded, ironed tablecloth had a brown stain in the middle. If it can't be cleaned, it should be replaced. Disgusting. The bedroom air-conditioning thermostats were disconnected because of a recent storm. That's not a guest's problem, especially at those prices. There was only one pot for cooking pasta, so I don't understand how the vacation home could be left so poorly equipped. When we reported the issues, we were told the cleaning had been done and shown the sanitizer they used, but the sock was still there. For the air conditioning, they handed us a BROOM and told us to use its handle to press the on/off button on the wall-mounted split unit. Really, I'm not kidding. We'd called a few days earlier to check that everything was okay, and nobody mentioned this problem. The woman managing the house for her son didn't react at all when we raised the problems or said we were leaving. Never again. The online photos don't match what we found. Getting to the property also means driving at least 15 minutes along a steep road with hairpin bends from the edge of civilization. Terrible.
