The on-site restaurant deserves a mention. The chef made us a wonderful dinner, one of the best meals of our three-week trip around Italy. Isabella and Elena gave excellent service, too. We stayed one night in Castell'Arquato, a stunning medieval village in Emilia-Romagna, and this hotel met what we hoped for when we chose it for the location, online photos, parking, and restaurant. The old, elegant building is easy to reach by car, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and nearby parking was easy to find.

Great location. We stayed three nights, and the room was clean, comfortable, and well equipped, with a lovely balcony. The bathroom shower was easy to use, with both an overhead and handheld head. The front-of-house team were friendly and thoughtful, with especially good service from Luigi, Sofia, Nancy, Isabella, and Elena.

The restaurant was a great experience, and the waiter was perfect. The location is beautiful, the bed was clean, and the room was so hot. We asked to have the air conditioning fixed, but it never was, so there was poor airflow. The showerhead was broken, which made for an unpleasant shower. Those felt like minor issues next to the service. The breakfast staff were rude. There may have been a language gap, but we could still understand some of what was said. We have family locally and hoped to use the hotel as a base when visiting for a month each year. The location is ideal for that, so it's a shame.

Isabel helped us find our way around town and made sure everything was just right during our stay. My wife and I had a splendid time at Hotel Leon D'Oro. The staff were polite and accommodating, and the restaurant was top shelf. Many thanks to Isabel.

The hotel has a great atmosphere and a beautiful spot in the center of Castell' Arquato. Rooms are nice, the staff are very helpful, and the in-house restaurant is excellent. Breakfast and internet were good, too. There was plenty of street parking.
