The rooster and dogs kept barking through the night, so I couldn’t sleep. Next time I’ll ask for a slightly bigger room, and maybe try the rooster that kept me awake! Otherwise, the cleanliness and home-cooked food were excellent, the owners were very kind, and the welcome felt like family. Great value for money. Thanks to Luigi and his family, and to Carmela and her husband, for making us feel at home and looking after us so well. One tip for travelers: Google Maps has an obvious geolocation issue, so if you can’t find the B&B, call the owners. They’ll help you get there and come meet you. This family-run B&B is lovingly cared for, and the owners are so kind, attentive, and thoughtful. Breakfast is delicious and homemade, and the value for money is excellent. It’s a lovely escape from city noise if you’re after nature and quiet, while towns and the sea are still nearby.

At first, arriving can make you worry you’ve come to a less-than-lovely place. By the time you leave, though, you’ll be sorry to go because you’ve had such a great time. Carmela and Domenico are incredibly helpful and sweet. We loved the dishes and found breakfast more than satisfying. I hope I can return soon, and I highly recommend spending a vacation here.

Carmela’s cooking brings out the flavors and aromas of Cilento, with local ingredients and a real homemade touch. Domenico serves it all with such warmth. The property sits in a little paradise in the upper part of San Marco, with breathtaking sunsets. Great value, and I’d recommend it to anyone who loves good food and local traditions. 😊

Our children ended up calling the owners Grandma and Grandpa, they were so kind and attentive. We stayed in a renovated old farmhouse with three guest rooms and really enjoyed it. The restaurant serves homely traditional dishes made with local ingredients.
