Casa Amigdala

We were so pleased to come back in August. The owner had made some improvements since our last visit, including new orthopedic mattresses and super comfortable pillows. They made it easy to relax and enjoy the cool evening breeze. The staff are warm, friendly and courteous, and Casa Amigalda has become our favorite place in Santamaria di Castellabate. Breakfast is made with local produce and served with a breathtaking view. We’d gladly recommend it.

We especially appreciated Maurizio’s suggestions for a three-day mini-itinerary, and the sea-view breakfast outside was a lovely extra. Getting to the sea and the center of Castellabate is easy, too. Caterina and Maurizio run this little gem so well. It’s a magical, leafy place with a breathtaking view. Thank you for your hospitality, professionalism and kindness. We’ll definitely come back! The road to the B&B has about a hundred meters of dirt track at the end. It’s nothing difficult, and it adds a bit of character to the walk through the countryside. Once there, it’s a real oasis of peace. We found the place by chance and expect to come back again. The rooms are simply furnished but have all the comforts, including a latest-generation Daikin air conditioner and a small fridge. The mattresses and pillows could be better, though we still found them comfortable. Maurizio and Caterina are down-to-earth, kind and professional, and ready to look after you, starting with a very good breakfast. And that morning view over breakfast feels like a painting made by nature. You won’t die here, even if it feels like you’ve reached paradise.

Up on the Alano hill in Santa Maria di Castellabate, this lovely property is wonderfully quiet and has a spectacular sea view. Caterina and Maurizio are attentive hosts, and breakfast outside is delicious and especially beautiful. The rooms are very nice. Recommended.
