Hotel Residence Pompeo

Fantastic.

We came at the end of July and had a comfortable room at this pleasant old-style hotel. Dinner was delicious and cooked really well. We also had some lovely days at Pompeo beach club, a short distance away, with all the comforts and a beautiful view of the sea. The owners and staff were friendly and always ready to help. I recommend the place, and we’ll gladly come back. Thanks to the hotel staff.

We felt at home throughout our stay, with the staff always kind and ready to help. The food was a real highlight: traditional Cilento cooking made with fresh, local, top-quality ingredients. Giovanna, my compliments. I haven’t had such good, authentic food in a long time. Our room wasn’t the biggest, but it suited us just fine. It had a TV, air conditioning, and a safe, and the bathroom had a hairdryer, which was nice not to have to pack. Housekeeping was thorough and on time. The restaurant is top-notch. We parked easily as soon as we arrived, thanks to the covered parking. The beach is less than 50 meters away, so we headed down straight away. We had our own umbrella, sun lounger, and deckchair, and the hotel’s private beach has a lifeguard, which is reassuring for anyone with children. I’d happily stay again.

The building looks better from the outside than it feels inside. It’s very old, and the bathroom is tiny. The shower is basically built right beside the toilet rather than being a separate shower. There are some useful things, including a fridge, air conditioning, TV, a little terrace, and, most of all, a sea view. Breakfast was good. The owner said he needs to renovate the whole place. I hope it happens soon, because the property is beautiful.
