Panacea Country House

The peaceful setting is a little tucked away, but getting here was easy, and it’s still near the center, the sea, pizzerias, and bars. I spent a weekend here and finally felt able to slow down. Marzia keeps everything impeccably clean, and her kindness and attention make you feel at home right away. She has so much care for the place and for her guests, and you can feel it in the small details. The food was excellent, often made with homemade and locally sourced ingredients. I also loved the care she gives her bees, her respect for animals and the environment, and that the property is plastic-free. Frida, the sweet, playful, cuddly puppy, is the soul of the place. I hope every guest gets to meet her. Marzia’s dedication is something else. She’s a tireless worker, but also such a lovely person, and time just seems to disappear around her. The Sunday aperitif in my photo was one of hers, full of imagination and patience. I got to watch her create the #panaceadrink, and I’d recommend giving it a try. I’d love to come back soon.

The owner was thoughtful, genuinely interested, and always ready to help. We’ll definitely be back. The B&B is surrounded by lush greenery, a lovely break from city life and everyday noise, and the rooms carry that same natural feel. Santa Maria’s center and the sea are only a five-minute drive away. Breakfast went beyond what we expected, especially for a vegan, with plenty to choose from and a breathtaking view. Our room, “Bosco,” had its bathroom outside the room. That was a small inconvenience, though the comfort, cleanliness, and architecture more than made up for it. We highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting Santa Maria di Castellabate.

Casa Panacea was a great find among the oaks and olive trees of Cilento National Park. We loved the location, the furnishings, the comfort, and the warm welcome. Marzia is so kind and helpful that you quickly feel at home. Breakfast with a sea view and the evening sunsets were priceless. In winter, the place also becomes a home restaurant for dinners and tastings of local products. Highly recommended.

We had a delicious lunch that catered to our vegan needs, from the first course right through dessert. The fireplace made the day feel even cozier, and the view was lovely too. The welcome and service were both impeccable. We’ll do it again, and I highly recommend the experience!
