The pool was a real highlight for all five of us. It was spacious, just over waist deep, and cleaned on Saturdays. The local shop was also well stocked, with a great deli counter and pretty much everything you’d need. We spent a fantastic couple of weeks here as a family of five. Anna and Giada were wonderful hosts, and kindly let us into the Villa early after our Ryanair flight from Edinburgh. The Villa was clean and roomy, so we all had space. It’s only a couple of minutes’ walk from a huge sandy beach that stays shallow quite a way out, which was ideal for the younger kids. There are lots of restaurants along the beach, though apart from lunch on arrival, we had dinner in the old town of Castellammare del Golfo. Google Maps is out of date: there’s now a pavement all the way in, about a 25-minute stroll. Just watch out for mopeds at the junctions. We’d definitely recommend the Villa for a home-from-home stay with a fantastic pool.
