The hosts were gracious and handled problems quickly. The price was good, and we had a lovely view over the mountain countryside. The town is tiny, around 200 people, and there isn't much to see, even with its outstanding coffee bar. Still, Scopello and Castellammare del Golfo are only a quick 10-minute drive away. I wish the interior made better use of the high ceilings and beautiful stone wall.

We were there at the end of June, and the Sicilian countryside was lovely in the evenings, with a gentle breeze and crickets. The house is a beautifully renovated period home, with a kitchen and a terrace for summer nights. Its thick walls and high ceilings kept it cool enough that we never switched on the air conditioning. The hosts were a special, friendly family who paid attention to what we needed. Guidaloca, with its clear water and full amenities, is a short distance away, and nearby Balata di Badia has a great bar and pastry shop as well as a butcher. The location also makes it handy for trips to Trapani, Erice, Palermo, San Vito lo Capo, and Scopello. Highly recommended!

The owners were very kind and always ready to help with any concerns, and they pointed out nearby tourist attractions. We found the house well equipped and breezy both indoors and outside. There was a great bar and restaurant in the area, while the house itself offered peace, privacy, and nature, still close to the attractions. We stayed in July 2022 and would definitely book it again if we're back.
