The castle itself is wonderful, distinctly Sicilian and full of character. The two rooms we saw could be decent, but they need some basic things fixed. There's no air conditioning, and the windows and synthetic teritan sheets made it hard to stay cool. Fresh cotton sheets, working fans, more cleaning, and new towels would help. An umbrella outside for breakfast, a few deckchairs, and better lighting for evenings would also make the place more comfortable. Guests should be told that it's about 7/8 km from Scopello or Castellammare. Without those simple improvements, I wouldn't want to return to the house. Stabile.
