The room and bathroom were clean and nice, the front desk staff were kind, and the village was just a short walk away. It was peaceful too. Still, I was very disappointed with the stay. The pool and breakfast were included in the room rate, and I’d chosen the hotel partly for those features. I could have stayed somewhere else for much less without them. The breakfast looked inedible to me. I know Italian breakfasts are often pastries and espresso, but after a long time travelling I was hoping for scrambled eggs, and the ones there looked green and old. The pool is in a beautiful spot, but it seemed not to have been vacuumed for days and was dirty. I didn’t see anyone check the chlorine while I was there, so I didn’t feel comfortable getting in. I won’t return. In response to the hotel’s comment, yes, I stayed there in September. I did try to speak directly with the owners, but felt brushed off. Other reviews also mention the dirty pool and poor breakfast. Fixing those things could make this a wonderful four-star hotel.

We had a magical eight days in September 2025, and the team helped make the trip unforgettable. I’d planned to propose on our second night, and Giorgia and the staff were incredibly helpful, suggesting restaurants, helping me choose a spot, and offering extra amenities for the day after. The pool was amazing, and our room was spacious and clean. We also loved the nearby beaches and restaurants. Scopello feels like a place from a movie, and the location was brilliant. We’ll certainly be back. Thank you, Hotel Baglio Dello Zingaro. 💛

Everyone was kind and helpful, and the service and breakfast were both 10/10. We loved how comfortable the stay was, with everything close by and parking that was especially convenient.

The pool setting is lovely, with nice loungers and sunscreen, and you can buy refreshments there. The area was rather noisy, though, and the pool water seemed unpleasant. Breakfast was at the lower end, but not bad. The stay met expectations, with some room to improve.

For a three-star hotel, I thought it was really great. The rooms were clean, breakfast was simple but nice, and the receptionist was kind and helpful. I’m not sure why some people complain. The one thing they could improve is the WiFi.
