Hotel Sopra Le Mura

We were pleased with the hotel for several reasons. The dive center nearby is handy if you’re into diving. It’s on a pleasant street by the water, with lots of nice restaurants, gelato shops and other places just around the corner. We stayed on the top floor, in a beautiful room with a sloped wooden ceiling. It seemed recently renovated and smelled fresh and clean whenever we came back. Breakfast was simple, mostly Sicilian-style foods like olives, tomatoes and sweet pastries. We liked the fresh fruit salad served daily and the friendly service, and the coffee was great. If you want to go to the beach, we recommend renting a car. It’s a bit of a walk, and the way back is quite steep.

Gabriella was especially kind and helpful, and the hotel team gave us useful advice about boat hire and beach clubs. I’d mentioned before we arrived that someone in our group was vegan, and they’d made a real effort to provide breakfast just for her. Our sea-view room had balconies and looked over the marina, right on the main street among the restaurants and bars. We stayed one night and couldn’t fault the place. I’d go back to The Sopra Le Mura in a heartbeat.

A little hotel that gets everything right. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were great, the showers were good, and the staff were brilliant. Breakfast was the highlight for me, especially the freshly baked cakes every day and the lovely coffee. It’s right by the marina, at the lower end of the pedestrian area full of bars and restaurants. Highly recommend it.

From our room, the harbor views were stunning, and we had three balconies facing the sea. It was easy to walk to good places to eat, and breakfast was nice too. The staff were friendly and helpful, including with directions to free parking on the nearby, narrow streets. I’d happily stay here again.
