We booked before COVID with free cancellation, but travel restrictions meant we had to cancel. The money had been taken six months before the arrival date, and despite emails and phone calls, we still haven't received a refund. I won't trust this place again.

We checked in ourselves because we arrived late, and it was no trouble. The room was really nice, and breakfast was very good for just 5 euros: coffee, toast with jam, fruit, juice, yogurt, and a really good cornetto. If I come back, I'd stay here again ☺️

Castellammare is well worth a visit for its food, atmosphere and beautiful sea. The property is attractive and close to everything, but the cleanliness spoiled those positives for us. The shower was clogged with strands of hair, which I had to remove after repeated bouts of vomiting, and the toilet brush was extremely dirty and old. The toilet also had yellow marks inside. On the third day, without warning, the cleaner came in, made the bed and replaced the toilet paper even though the old roll was still half full, but didn't clean anything. With checkout at 10 AM and check-in at 3 PM, there seemed to be enough time between guests for a proper deep clean. The shower's sliding glass nearly fell on my girlfriend because it had come off its track.

We were only passing through and stayed one night, luckily. The place was dirty, terrible, and had no hot water. Calling it a B&B feels like an insult to other places, and I strongly advise against staying here. The manager replies rudely to negative reviews, saying people don't want to pay. Honestly, I wouldn't sleep there again even for free. Close the place, it's a dump!
