Elegance House

We left after one week instead of the two we had planned. My wife developed bronchitis, and we believe the walls in several rooms were soaked with water and mold. It was especially bad in both bathrooms, most of all the one with the washing machine, and on the outside walls of the property. The owners themselves said it had originally been a garage. There was an awful stuffy, musty smell even with the windows kept open as they advised. At night it got much stronger, and sleeping was impossible. The place was dirty and unwelcoming. The dishes and pans were particularly bad. One bathroom toilet had no seat cover, and the cabinet under the sink was peeling and swollen from damp. In the bedroom, two wardrobe drawers couldn't be used: one was broken, and the other had no bottom panel. We never ate at the table in the little courtyard because the area around it was damp and covered in mold. There were also uncovered garbage bins beside it, half full when we arrived. This was a deeply negative experience, and we think it should be taken off the Bread & Breakfast list. We have photos documenting all of this.
