I was here with my family at Christmas and we had a really nice experience. The B&B is just a few minutes from the city center. Thanks to Salvatore, the owner.

The only thing I’d suggest is putting some complimentary drinks in the minibar, which was empty. Otherwise, the owner was extremely kind, and our large room was spotless, with lovely smelling linens and a nice little terrace. The property has been fully renovated, though the older building it’s in is still being worked on. It’s a 10-minute walk from the center and seafront, and there’s free parking nearby. The outdoor veranda is lovely, but it sits a little below street level and has no view.

I’d planned to stay in June, but since I happened to be nearby in April, I took the chance to check the place and the booking I’d made for my wife and me. The property didn’t match the description on Booking. Of the two rooms, the only one available was narrow, with a tiny cramped closet, and barely suitable for one person rather than a standard double. The manager was rude and unwelcoming. When I asked about the garden listed on Booking and pointed out that the room was in a basement, he snapped that there was no garden, that this was the room if I wanted it, and that Booking didn’t describe a garden. The room and the manager were both disappointing. I don’t recommend either.

We booked two nights while traveling, but stayed only one and paid for both. The owner didn’t even ask why, then told us to leave the keys inside and lock the door. Shameful. There was blood and hair on the sheets. The family gives the stars.
