Ticho's Greenblu Hotel

The sandy beach was amazing, the location was good, the staff were friendly, and the coffee was good. But the pool felt like a pond, and it’s closed from 1 to 3 PM, as well as overnight, so forget about an early swim. Checkout is at 10 AM, which feels especially early for Italy. Internet on the beach was very poor.

The cleaning team did impeccable work, thank you. The beach was nice and clean, and the hotel has its own sandy stretch with a beach bar, umbrellas, and sunbeds for €5 per set per day. Breakfast was good, close to continental style, with prosciutto cotto, salami, fried bacon, omelette, sweet pastries, and the usual extras. I’d recommend the croissants. There were also three kinds of fruit juice, plus tea, milk, and coffee. We didn’t eat at the restaurant in the evenings because we preferred to explore nearby. The hotel was very clean throughout. The rooms were nice but small, each with a balcony and at least a partial sea view. There’s a small fridge, which was useful for us. The shower is by the entrance, outside the bathroom, so it adds steam and warmth to the room. There’s air conditioning, but ours didn’t seem to work, so we couldn’t use it. We stayed for three days at the beginning of June 2022. Most guests seemed older, which meant the hotel was quiet and not crowded. There are two buildings, one at the front by the road facing the sea, and another behind it, with the pool and terrace in between. We had a front room with a nice sea view, but the road noise at night was very loud. Young people seemed to use it to show off their cars and motorcycles. It went on late into the night and sometimes early in the morning. With the air conditioning out, it was hot, so we slept with the windows open and could hear motorcycles racing right below us. Reception said the noise was due to an Italian holiday, which was true on June 2, but the other two nights were noisy too, just not as bad. The staff were okay. Some were clearly beginners and not very useful yet, and only a few knew basic English. They did their best, though. I met one young woman at reception who could really speak English.

The food was amazingly delicious, and the staff were friendly and very professional. The pool area was clean, and the beach is right next to the hotel. We had an amazing experience and will definitely be back.

The beach is only a few steps from the hotel, and the rooms were clean. Staff were super attentive, and the place felt COVID-secure. My wife and I thought everything was perfect. A fantastic stay, and we’ll most definitely return! :)
