Il Colombaio, Castellina in Chianti is the kind of place we’re glad to return to. Time seems to slow down, and the familiar smiles and warm greetings make us feel at home again. The rooms have real Tuscan character, with wooden beams, thick stone walls, and a cozy vintage style that feels like the real Chianti, not a postcard version. The location near the town center is perfect for exploring, and there’s a pool for slow, sunny days. We’re grateful for the warm hospitality. Wishing the wonderful people who bring this place to life strength, health, and joy. We truly recommend staying here, and it’s a place worth returning to.

The breakfast was okay, but I left disappointed. The room wasn’t clean, the shower was very old, and the photos on Google gave a different impression. Since it was hot, we had to keep the window open, but there was no screen to keep bugs out. It wasn’t a comfortable stay.

We had a really good time in Tuscany. The woman who runs the house was very nice, and it was close both to the village and to nature. A window screen might be useful, but we still enjoyed our stay.

We came back after 27 years and were so glad we did. The room was charming and comfortable, with a very large, good bed, and the garden and pool were lovely. Even without air conditioning, the room stayed cool. The bathroom is showing its age, though everything worked. Roberta was a fantastic hostess, and the hotel is just a few steps outside town. We loved it before and hope to return soon. Highly recommend.

We visited in May 2024 and found everyone very friendly. My six-year-old granddaughter Valentina still remembers the little turtles behind the building. We loved everything ❤️
