We had a great time in the cooking class with the owner’s mom, though the price felt a bit high for such an informal session, EUR 105 for two people. We made two kinds of pasta from scratch, tagliette and tortelloni, along with eggplant parmigiana and panna cotta. It all happened in their kitchen at a very fast pace, jumping between recipes, which felt confusing and disorganized at times. The grandma didn’t speak English, so we relied on the owner to translate, which worked fine for the most part. It’s a small, beautiful vineyard with a little villa to rent for a week, and you can also take cooking classes or taste wine and olive oil.

My girls, who are 6 and 8, still talk about our day cooking and eating at this winery and farmhouse in July. We made two kinds of pasta, eggplant and panna cotta, and my oldest clicked right away with Suzanna's mother. The two of them stuffed pasta like pros. After lunch, the girls had a play session with Bull the Boxer. We ate lunch on the porch with their excellent wines, and it was a delight to learn how the wines were made and named. The girls loved eating what they’d made and cleaned their plates. It was one of our favorite days of the trip. Such a lovely slice of Chianti, and I hope we can return. Thanks again.

Simple, elegant and beautiful, with gorgeous views and a cozy, small-home feel. I visited several wineries that day, and Setriolo had the best Chianti Classico by far. The wine was also the best value for money.
