Tregole

The weekend dinner was rich and complex, so I’d suggest getting familiar with the menu before booking. Edith was very helpful, and the place is ideally situated for visiting Chianti and Tuscany. We spent four nights in a charming room with a good bathroom, a very good bed, and a lovely setting and atmosphere. The in-house winery tour with Dario Castellano was excellent and informative.

Edith is a wonderful hostess, and Dario Castagno, a well known author, has a wealth of life experience in the Chianti region. Make the most of it, it added a whole extra layer to our stay. Fattoria Tregole is a jewel in the heart of Chianti. We loved our five nights there and highly recommend the location and the whole experience. It’s also a great base for day trips to Cortona, Montalcino, Sienna and beyond.

Dario told us great stories about the history of the property. Thank you to Edith and Sophie for sharing such a beautiful place with us. We loved our stay at Tregole Villa so much that I’ll stay there again next time we visit Tuscany. I really can’t see why we’d stay anywhere else.

I hope I can return someday. I shared dinner here with a friend last summer, and it became one of our most memorable, delightful times in Italy. The setting was gorgeous, the food delicious, and the staff so welcoming and kind.
