Castellucchio Hotel

The welcome was extremely helpful, and the pizza we had at the attached restaurant was good. Breakfast at the bar there was good too. The rooms are pretty basic, with a cramped bathroom and no bidet. The water tasted of iron. There were no mosquito screens on the windows or air conditioning, and the mattresses were hard and uncomfortable.

The owner was warm and helpful, and I had a great stay over my four nights here. My room was clean and comfortable. Recommended.

Dinner was a real highlight, from the amazing pizza to excellent pumpkin tortelli and a superb dessert. The bar, where breakfast is served, feels modern and very welcoming, and everyone was kind and helpful. The hotel is right in the town center on the main road. Rooms are simple but spacious and clean, with wooden floors, Wi-Fi, a safe, air conditioning, and bathroom amenities. A few had an unpleasant smell, though it went away after a shower and a few minutes with the window open. The quietest rooms are at the back, but they don’t have a view. Recommended.

The rooms were very clean, and the staff were professional, kind, polite, and always ready to help. You don’t always find that these days.
