The Snail house is cosy and quaint, just right for a short stay in Castelmola 🥰

We stayed at Grazia’s B&B in Castelmola in December and felt at ease right away. When we arrived by car, Grazia and her husband met us and arranged parking for the car, while our suitcases were brought to the room. The accommodation is completely renovated and new, with a lovely view of Mount Etna and Taormina. Grazia was attentive when we arrived and when we left, and her openness and helpful advice made a real difference. She was kind and welcoming throughout, with an eye for every detail. Breakfast was plentiful and carefully prepared: fresh croissants, fruit, cappuccino, coffee, and yogurt, with sweet or savory choices. It could rival any buffet, and her customer service was extraordinary. We highly recommend the accommodation and the chance to meet Grazia. If you go to Taormina, visit, but stay in Castelmola, which is much more beautiful, one of Italy’s most beautiful villages. Barbara and Corrado

Grazia is what makes Chiocciola House memorable. She’s kind, sensitive, helpful, altruistic, and generous, and gives guests so much attention and thoughtful advice. Her personality left us with our best memories of authentic Sicily and Sicilianness. Thank you for everything 😘 We stayed in August at her lovely B&B in Castelmola, a charming village voted one of Italy’s most beautiful. The well-kept house is spread over several floors and can suit one couple, two couples, a family of four, or a group of six. The fully equipped kitchen is shared. There are two terraces, one upstairs used for breakfast and another for relaxing. Either way, they’re wonderful spots to start or finish the day with a sunset aperitif and a breathtaking view. The house is only a few meters from the square where the internationally famous Caffè Turrisi is. If you don’t know why it’s famous, you’ll find out for yourself 😅. If you’re planning to visit Taormina, stay at Chiocciola House in Castelmola instead. This town just above Taormina has plenty of charm and is a strategic base for avoiding the chaos and heat of its more famous cousin.

Grazia, the B&B owner, is about as honest, friendly, and helpful as anyone could be. She treated us like close friends, not guests. The recently renovated B&B is welcoming and has everything. Grazia served a delicious breakfast with exemplary care.
