Casa Blandano

We chose this charming little town over Taormina’s main center and really liked its character and authentic feel. Parking was included, and the staff were warm, smiling, and always willing to help. We spent two nights here and had a lovely time. Breakfast had loads of choice, with fresh fruit, vegetables, and local products. I’d happily return and recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

The terrace was a lovely place to sit in the morning or evening, and our room was beautiful. Breakfast was generous, the staff made us feel very welcome, and having a reserved parking spot was handy. Highly recommend!

We liked being away from busy Taormina and took the walking path down to Isola Bella, then back up. It’s a long walk, though, and the bus is another option. At Casa Blandano, our room was spacious and clean, and the whole place was among the cleanest hotels we’ve stayed in. The staff were helpful and even made gluten free crepes for breakfast after we noted my celiac disease in the booking. I’d recommend it if you want a clean B&B with a nice breakfast.

Breakfast was exceptional, and the room felt quaint but modern, with a great multi-head shower. It’s a small B&B, really. Reception is staffed from 3 to 9 pm, and after that you’re on your own if you don’t have a phone plan. The AC didn’t work, and reception couldn’t fix it. The cool breeze meant that wasn’t a problem by itself, but we had to leave the windows and doors fully open, and the foot traffic just below the window was a bit bothersome. For parking, drive all the way up into town, across from the pharmacy. You can stop there if someone stays with the car, about 50 m from the B&B. Drop your bags and they’ll give you a parking pass for the garage, about 300 m back down. The driver then has a long staircase to climb back up to the Piazza.
