We got married here in September and stayed for the whole weekend with our families. The setting was beautiful, and the owners and staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. They went out of their way to look after all of us.

The location was amazing for reaching Siena and the surrounding towns, and the service was good. We stayed in one of the apartments, a little away from the main building; the rooms were adequate, though we did find some bugs. I also wish the staff had explained the available add-on options more clearly.

The service left me very disappointed. I was there with two other adults and my five-year-old. During the wine tasting presentation, the man leading it stopped to insult me in front of everyone because I let my child into the pool without asking first. He was right that we should have asked, but he could have spoken to me privately instead of humiliating me in front of the group. For context, I’d spent over 20 minutes arguing with my son not to go in. In the end I let him, partly because I wanted him to stop whining and partly because I didn’t want to disturb the other people who had paid to enjoy the experience. While dealing with him, I didn’t think to ask permission, even though I should have.

We had planned to stay four nights, but left after just one because of health issues, and were left without a refund. When we first explained what had happened and asked about getting the remaining nights refunded, we were told that would be possible. At checkout, though, the refund was denied completely. Our apartment was 300-400 meters from reception, the pool, and the restaurant, something the description hadn’t mentioned. The listing said there was AC, but there wasn’t any, only ceiling fans. With temperatures above 30C overnight, those didn’t do much and we struggled to sleep.
