Green Corner

A bakery nearby serves breakfast too, and there’s a great pub less than a ten-minute walk away. The apartment was quiet and comfortable, with heating and WiFi, and had everything we needed for a short break. The host was helpful and full of useful local tips, while still giving us space. The surroundings felt carefully arranged and cozy. A good base for exploring the area.

The garden is such a nice place to unwind after a day at Gardaland or around the lake. There are shaded tables and chairs, plus a hammock, and our spacious triple room was very clean. We stayed two nights in the Ulivo apartment and were really happy with it. It had a large closet, air conditioning and a ceiling fan. There were books and Lego boxes for the children, a lovely touch. The roomy bathroom had a comfortable large shower, toiletries and a hairdryer. There’s no kitchen, but the space between the bedroom and bathroom has a table with four chairs, a fridge, coffee maker, microwave, dishes and glasses for breakfast or a snack. Green Corner is in Cavalcaselle (Castelnuovo del Garda), on a quiet street with free parking. The Nereo bakery by the church is literally a five-minute walk away, as are a couple of good restaurants, including La Tavernetta, and The Bench Pub, an English pub. Nicolò recommended these places. Gardaland is easy to reach on foot by going down Via Bastia towards the park hotels, which avoids the queues on the main roads. Nicolò was attentive, generous with advice and very helpful. We’d met him the year before when we booked another of his properties, Corte Colori in Colà di Lazise, so I got in touch with him again for a future stay. He suggested Green Corner and we were delighted. It’s a little B&B with spacious rooms and a lovely garden, in a small village that’s quiet and green but still close to bakeries, a pharmacy, restaurants and pubs. Gardaland and other attractions on the southeastern side of Lake Garda are nearby. We found the place comfortable and clean, with good value for money, and would happily stay again.

The children loved it, and we’d happily return. The landlord was friendly and always available, and the apartment was clean. It wasn’t especially large or luxurious, but that was fine since we spent the days out. The bedrooms had very powerful air conditioning. It’s a great location for a family holiday: Lake Garda, Caneva Aquapark, Gardaland, Sea Life, Legoland Aquapark, Movieland and the Lazise market were all about 15 minutes away. Shops were around 10-15 minutes by car, and there were plenty of places to eat within walking distance. The main drawback was the lack of a proper kitchenette, so cooking meals wasn’t really possible and I had to wash dishes in the bathroom. Still, it worked well enough for making sandwiches in the morning and evening, since we ate lunch out.

Nicolò gave us excellent advice whenever we asked, and the bright, elegant accommodation with its private garden is very close to Gardaland and the other local attractions. Green Corner Holiday was welcoming and stylish, and Nicolò was kind, helpful and clearly put a lot of care into hosting. We’ll definitely come back. Until then, goodbye.
