The grounds are beautifully maintained, with plenty of spots to sit and take in the wonderful view. The setting is gorgeous, with wide open spaces and lots of nature. Getting around is easy: there’s a bus stop very close by, and the Kastelruth bus station connects to many directions. Public transport is excellent, and driving is easy too, with convenient parking on the farm. You can also explore on foot, and shops for daily needs are within easy reach of Castelrotto. What made the stay especially welcoming was the Schieder family. You feel like a guest, not a number. Mrs. Schieder is always ready to help and offer advice, and the place feels like a home with friendly people rather than an anonymous hotel. I can confirm the positive reviews. The apartments are in good condition, with bathrooms that seem recently renovated. I slept well during my 14 days there. The kitchen has what you need, though a few more pieces of cutlery and glasses would help avoid running the dishwasher after every meal. Everything was clean, with plenty of storage.

We stayed at the Schieder family's place from August 6th to 20th and had such a lovely time. Coming back from a hike to a delicious freshly baked cake was just what we needed. The Thymian apartment has a huge terrace and feels like the whole place is yours. It has everything you need and good parking, and Mrs. Schieder is very friendly. Fresh bread rolls arrive every morning. It's a five-minute drive to Kastelruth and a great base for trips around the Seiser Alm or Val Gardena. Wonderful! We're staying here now.

The Schieder house, and especially the Schieder family, are absolutely worth recommending. Even after all these years of renting, Mrs. Schieder is so welcoming that it's hard to leave. We'd love to come back. Worth every star, and THANK YOU!!!

A quiet spot with spectacular views, including a picture-perfect scene from the kitchen window. These are self-catering apartments, with a well-stocked kitchen and linens. The hostess is genuinely hospitable, and fresh breakfast rolls are available on request. A special vacation.
