We had a spacious, clean, well-kept room, with a small balcony overlooking the sea. The owner was very kind, and the shared kitchen had everything we needed. There are plenty of shops nearby, plus a small beach just down the road for a quick swim or a meal without going far. You can walk to the old town of Castelsardo; don’t let the hills put you off. One drawback: the neighbors across from one of the rooms shout when they talk. Between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. it was hard to get any rest, especially in the sweltering summer heat.

Roberta was very friendly and helpful, though she only speaks Italian, so communication can be a little difficult. The room is newly furnished, the bathroom is shared, and there’s a kitchen guests can use. The location is good, and breakfast was lovely, with special requests possible.

The B&B is clean, with a private bathroom and a decent breakfast, and I’d recommend it. Castelsardo is beautiful, though sadly the weather wasn’t so good.
