Hotel Blumarea, BW Signature Collection

There are lovely beaches nearby, including plenty of tucked-away ones within driving distance. The hotel is also close to amenities and near enough to enjoy the lively side of Castelsardo without being too far away. It seems suitable for solo travellers, friends, families and kids. The staff were friendly, helpful and always smiling. Thanks for having us, I’d definitely recommend staying here.

I’d give this hotel five stars. It’s very clean, and the staff are friendly and always smiling. Breakfast was varied and delicious, with lots of cakes and good coffee. A lovely atmosphere for a relaxing stay. Thanks to everyone at the hotel for the kind service and smiles. 🙂😘

The presentation is misleading. This isn’t really a beachfront hotel: it’s on the main road, it’s noisy, and the sea is 150 metres away. Our supposed sea-view room looked onto the rear terrace of a private villa, where clothes were drying in the wind. Very disappointing for a BW hotel.

The main letdown was housekeeping. They cleaned the room, missing just one day, but didn’t refill the toilet paper at all during our five-day stay. I had to ask reception for it, which I don’t consider acceptable in a four-star hotel. Consumables should be replenished daily. The pool is advertised as heated, but it was too cold for me to swim. We reported it, though we didn’t go back to see whether it had been fixed. This didn’t feel like a four-star experience. There were good points too. Reception staff were attentive, friendly, helpful with advice and always smiling. The breakfast and bar staff, who shared a room, were nice as well. We hadn’t prepaid for breakfast, so we could register at reception on the days we wanted it. The selection was fine, fresh and tasty, with a good choice of pastries. The room was comfortable, and although the furniture was old, I didn’t mind.
