We spent 10 nights in a three bed apartment that had everything our family of five needed. It was spacious, with two large terrace areas, though the apartment itself could use some updating. The complex is quiet, well kept, and relaxing, with a mix of residents and holidaymakers. The pool was excellent and the tennis court was available too. The pool closes for a few hours around midday, which works well for lunch and avoiding the hottest part of the day. There’s access to the beach from the residence, but it’s rocky, and strong winds kept us from swimming much. Lu Bagnu is a handy base for exploring, with Castelsardo 2 km away and Sassari about 30 km away. There are also good restaurants and shops in town for everyday needs.

The setting was lovely, with the sea very close, and the complex itself was good. But I hated the rooms. The listing was misleading: the photos made it look as though there were four rooms instead of three, and the bedroom appeared to overlook the sea. The four of us spent 10 days in a really cramped studio flat. There was also no internet, despite what they’d said, and you have to find your own parking because there aren’t enough spaces for all the residents.

A really nice town, and Castelsardo centre is about a 10 minute drive away, with more shops and restaurants. There are a few restaurants and shops just a short walk from the resort, and it’s only two minutes on foot down to the beach. The communal pool is good too.

The resort is nice, but the rooms are only okay. The bed quality was disappointing, and the sheets and blankets felt a bit old. We got the sheets after arriving and had to put them on ourselves. Otherwise, no big complaints.
