LH Pedraladda Resort

The walls are thin enough that you can hear everything from the neighbours, which was annoying. Apart from that, our stay was amazing and I hope to return. The staff were all friendly, the hotel and our room were very clean, and the room was comfortable. We had a lovely sea view. Breakfast had lots of choices, especially sweet ones, and the bar was great. Our bathroom was spacious, clean and well equipped. They cleaned the rooms every day.

We won’t be back, though we love Sardinia and Castelsardo. The hotel feels worn out and stuck in the 1990s. There are no smart TVs, kettles or coffee makers in the rooms. Our beds were uncomfortable old twin mattresses pushed together, with broken springs. We found an opened, used hand cream in the bathroom. There isn’t a beach of any kind, and people smoked on every balcony, which would be awful if you have asthma. The blankets were old, with no duvets, and the pillows were uncomfortable. Breakfast was just okay.

One worrying problem was that our room door wouldn’t lock properly with the key. The bed was very uncomfortable and made it hard to sleep well. The food was decent, though there are better options. Overall the hotel was okay, but it’s quite old and could use some renovation.

The reception staff were extremely rude and showed no empathy for guests. Staff in cleaning, the bar, breakfast and pool were friendly, though most didn’t speak much English; they worked hard, and the cleaning was very good. There was a good range of food. The hotel is very old and needs renovation, and the sound insulation is terrible. We could hear everything from the next room, even someone coughing at night. This is only an option if you can’t afford something very good.
