It’s a welcoming, air-conditioned place that works well for a few days in Sardinia. The apartment is simple and a little dated, and there’s no microwave or oven.

The worst part of our three-week stay was the exhaust smell. We couldn’t open the street-facing windows because the fumes were so strong, and the apartment was also noisy beside a main road. The furnishings felt very outdated and the dishes were practically garbage. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Castelsardo looks beautiful, if that’s what the photo is showing. Everything about the place is lovely, except the ice cream, which was forgettable.
