The drive winds up the mountain on serpentine roads, with gorgeous views of Lago Maggiore. The hosts and their family are so personable that we felt at home, and breakfast was good. We could also use the kitchen in the evenings. It’s a beautiful place in a fantastic region, especially for anyone who enjoys nature, a simple way of life, and a break from the crowds. We had a lovely time and would like to return someday. Definitely recommended.

The view was amazing, the place was peaceful, and we loved having the animals around. My friend and I spent a week on holiday at Il Gatto Nero with Luca and his family. They made us feel so welcome, and the breakfast was delicious. I’d love to come back and definitely recommend it!

There are cute cats and a dog, and a beautiful view of the lake from this lovely old house and church. The hosts were wonderful, and we’ll definitely come back. If you love nature and vintage style, this place is just right.

We spent a couple of days here and really enjoyed our stay. The owners are great people. We had long conversations with them, and they shared lots of interesting information about the place. The view of Lago was beautiful.

The owners were very friendly, and there are plenty of cats to pet. It takes a bit of effort to get here, but the view makes it worth it. A very nice little spot.
