Hotel Admeto

The hotel is right beside the wonderful archaeological park Selinunte and very close to the sea. The rooms were clean, the staff lovely, and the location was great. Breakfast was the letdown. There were plenty of pastries and cakes, but they were much too sweet. The coffee machine didn't work properly: hot water came out milky, and the coffee was watery and powdery tasting, so we couldn't drink it. The cups and glasses in the kitchen were dirty too. Better restaurant management could make this a really great hotel.

A nice hotel with fairly friendly staff. I received a 10% discount for booking shortly before arrival. The bathroom could use an update, though.

The rooms were okay, but the balconies weren't cleaned and the handrails were held in place with steel ropes. Breakfast was poor, with too few staff and little fresh food, and the old sandwich-style toaster wasn't clean. The evening bar was often unattended, which made it hard to get a drink after dinner.

There was dust in the rooms and some linen and towels were ripped. The staff weren't especially friendly, and the place feels a bit ragged now, though it may once have been a four-star hotel. The breakfast and buffet were quite edible. The advertised beach is small and full of weeds. The area around the hotel wasn't always quiet, even at night, with ongoing construction, sawing, and music.
