I booked through Priceline, but when I reached the hotel in the afternoon, every door was shut. I knocked and got no answer, then waited 15 minutes with no one showing up. I eventually had to leave for work and find somewhere else to stay. When I later contacted the hotel, they asked, "why didn't you call us?" It seemed odd to blame the customer for not getting in. I'm a foreign visitor and only had a number, with no phone service. Shouldn't the hotel be open when guests arrive? I asked Priceline for a refund because I hadn't received the service at all, even though I understood the booking was non-refundable. After speaking with the owner, Priceline offered $10 back from the $70. I accepted and didn't pursue it further. Just letting future guests know the service was unreliable. Other low-opinion reviews mention similar customer service, so I guess I should've read them before booking.

Laura and Katerina were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are nothing special. They've been renovated recently, but the decor is modern, nothing like florence. The whole building must have sewing issues. It's 2 km from the old town.

The many little touches make it clear how much care goes into the service, and how professional the place is. From the friendly welcome to the spacious, impeccable room, plus complimentary drinks and snacks, everything seems set up to make you feel at home. If I could, I'd give it 6 stars!
