The road is genuinely rough for the last 5-8 km, and the agency should make that clearer on its website. Shops and markets are hard to get to from the property, because of both the distance and the road. Stock up before arriving, and bear in mind that some vehicles may struggle to get there. My husband, our dog, and I spent the end of August in this splendid place, in blissful solitude. It's just as advertised, a peaceful oasis between the green Apennines and the soft blue pool, which was entirely ours. The bathrooms, bedrooms, and kitchen are all in pleasant, functional Tuscan style.

A wonderful place for a lovely holiday in Tuscany, tucked away in nature yet close to beautiful towns.
