The meal at the Resort restaurant was outstanding, and the kind, highly skilled staff seemed to know exactly what we wanted. Anastasia deserves a special thank you for being there from the booking right through to our departure. We had an amazing weekend at Isola Polvese Resort. Its private beach, long walks, varied wildlife and plants, and beautiful sunset gave us a chance to slow down and clear our heads, with hectic daily life left across Lago Trasimeno. Isola Polvese and the Resort are a hidden gem.

Anastasia was always so helpful during our lovely stay, going the extra mile with our questions and whatever we needed. The gentleman at the beach bar was just as great. Wonderful people and a fantastic experience, we highly recommend this place. Thank you for everything!

We ate at Villa popvese today with a group of eight. What a beautiful setting, and the prices were affordable. Good food is normal in Italy, but this place was more than good. The fish was incredibly fresh, and the starters were generous and excellent. Even the chickpea side dish, which sounds pretty ordinary, had a special taste from being cooked or baked with rosemary and olive oil. Buonissimo, grazie mille!

A few days before the last night of my two-week trip around Italy, I got a standard email saying my booking had been cancelled. I’d booked through their website, and they’d confirmed it a few weeks earlier. There was no explanation. I couldn’t get anyone on the phone, so I emailed. They only said there was “a problem,” then suggested a hotel somewhere else, offered a free night next year, and kept apologizing. None of that really solved the issue. I ended up spending part of my holiday looking for somewhere new instead of enjoying the trip I’d planned and been excited about. It was disappointing that they didn’t seem professional or sympathetic enough to properly fix a problem they’d caused. That says a lot about how they operate.
