2/10
The air conditioning in my room barely worked, and one of the two units was completely out of order. My room itself was acceptable, but getting help from staff was difficult, even with basic requests, and they were generally unfriendly. Transportation was another major problem: taxis were essentially unavailable, the hotel could offer ZERO support, and I think its marketing should make this clear upfront. The reception team said they were understaffed because some employees were sick, and that they “typically” would help arrange transport in normal circumstances. After experiencing warm, attentive service elsewhere in Italy, the contrast here was especially disappointing. I even raised compensation with customer service, since guests in situations like mine should be offered some. Until the staffing, transport, and service problems are resolved, I’d recommend avoiding this hotel.

The spa is beautiful, private for an hour, and included. The food was great too. It’s a good base for visiting both Tuscany and Umbria, and the staff were helpful.

Alicia deserves an extra thank you for taking the time to suggest wine yards to visit, even though she was busy. Everyone was nice and had a good sense of humor, including the chefs. The facilities are high standard and the food was good. We had a fantastic stay at this nice hotel and will come back.

10/10
We had a family lunch with our 2yr old baby, and there was plenty of room for the little one to run around. The location and its breathtaking view were amazing, and the staff, food, drinks, and service were all great. Compliments to the chefs and staff for making our visit memorable.

The pool is beautiful, and the jacuzzi has a lovely view over the pool and landscape. We had a spacious room with a very comfy bed, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was excellent, with typical regional food, and the scenery takes in both the lake and mountains.
