Pet-friendly Umbria Villa

The countryside and vineyard views, especially at sunset from the garden, made for such a peaceful stay. We had two lovely weeks at Villa Gioiella with friends, spending our time cooking together, chatting and going for walks. The house was spacious, comfortable and clean, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Debbie was friendly and helpful both before we arrived and while we were there. It’s a special place, and I’m planning to return in a few months.

Three families and five kids had a great time here. The huge garden was a hit, especially the trampoline, and we loved having the veranda and balconies to relax on. Inside, there’s plenty of space, it’s comfortable and well organised, and the art gives the rooms an interesting feel. It looks just like the pictures. The appliances are great, and they’d even thought of useful little things like salt, oil, sugar, foam bath and shampoo. Highly recommend it. We can’t wait to come back.

We spent so much time enjoying the view from the balcony, especially at sunset with a glass of wine. The villa is roomy and has everything you need, with a lovely garden and olive grove. There’s a small bar and cafe just a minute’s walk away for coffee and pizza, plus a nearby shop for essentials. Debbie was a fantastic host, sharing lots of ideas for places to visit, eat and walk, and making sure we had what we needed. We had an amazing, unforgettable stay in Umbria.

The nearby town was lovely, full of history and charm, with friendly locals, and the quiet setting among the rolling Umbrian hills made it a real escape. The villa itself is beautiful, with elegant but comfortable interiors full of character. Everything felt lovingly looked after. From the moment I arrived, the host was so warm, kind and thoughtful, and made me feel welcome. I left relaxed and inspired, already dreaming about another visit. I’m very grateful for such a wonderful stay.
