Stunning Home in Castiglione del Lago With 6 Bedrooms, Wifi and Outdoor Swimming Pool

A lovely weekend with friends, and everything was just right. The kitchen spaces are great, and it’s suitable for families too.

The views are gorgeous, and there’s a pool too. Our hosts were so lovely. They even put on an authentic Italian dinner for us on our last night.

The pool was where our group spent most of our time. It was clean, relaxing, and looked out over the Umbrian hills. The whole property was well cared for, with a gazebo big enough for our group of 16, a barbecue area with firewood we were allowed to use, and a well-equipped kitchen with an oven, fridge, dishwasher, and dishes. We booked all of Agriturismo Stella for four days in August, so the place was entirely ours. In Gioiella, Umbria, the rustic villa is split into three units, each with bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchen, and living room. The furnishings and materials fit its country feel, and the location gives it breathtaking views. Stella and Marco helped me arrange the stay and were kind, welcoming, and very helpful from the start. The owners were around each day, cleaning and tidying the pool area, and quickly and cheerfully handled even small requests, like replacing a burned-out lightbulb. Meeting them and staying in their country home was a real pleasure. We had a wonderful time and hope to come back soon.

The view from the agriturismo was wonderful, and they were flexible about schedules. We stayed two nights over New Year's Eve, though the apartments weren't properly warm when we arrived. One had no heat on at all, and the others felt as if the heating had only just been switched on. Cleanliness could have been better too. When we checked out, they said we'd damaged some thermostats. The lady of the house checked them with us and found they worked. A modification meant to stop them going above 20°C had weakened the mechanism, so the knobs were sometimes hard to turn. Because of this issue, we had to cancel the afternoon visit we had planned.
