Agriturismo Pavone

We've been back to this lovely agriturismo several times over the years. The family who run it are friendly and helpful, and the farm buildings converted into ground-floor flats sit in gorgeous countryside just outside Castiglione. There's lots of outdoor space, and the covered parking is a real blessing in the heat. It's rustic, but has the basic equipment you need. If anything else comes up, you can ask the Pavones. They're also brilliant at suggesting restaurants, beaches, and wineries. I'd definitely recommend it.

We didn't have breakfast, but they still gave us homemade jam, coffee, and excellent olive oil. The place itself is beautiful and peaceful, and the owners are incredibly kind and friendly. We had dinner in their farm restaurant that evening, where the food was delicious, full of authentic, high-quality flavors, and fairly priced. Lorenzo and Margherita were excellent hosts and even arranged a joke we had planned. I highly recommend staying here.

We spent a week in a quiet, peaceful place that was clearly well maintained, with lovely views across the fields and hills. The staff were very friendly, and the service was excellent.
