The beach was great, and the shuttle made it easy to get there with the kids for a full day. Reception staff were very helpful. Our room worked well for a family of five, though we missed having EU plug sockets. Breakfast was poor. There was no menu or explanation of what else could be ordered beyond a very plain, underwhelming buffet. Some of the older staff seemed irritated when we asked questions or needed help, which was shocking and made us uncomfortable.

The remodeled room is very comfortable, and the grounds are beautiful. Staff have been helpful and quick to respond. Georgia and the other front desk staff went well beyond what I’d expect to make our stay easy. When the airlines destroyed my suitcase, Georgia helped me file a claim and pointed me to exactly where I could buy a replacement, saving me a lot of time. I’m writing this by the gorgeous pool. My one wish is for more air circulation in the room, maybe a table fan or central air.

The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, and we received a price discount for the delayed check-in. We booked at short notice, but our room wasn’t ready until after 4-5pm. The location is superb, and the rooms are nicely decorated and renovated. Based on the hotel rating, I’d call it a 4* hotel, not the 5* shown on booking.com.

The setting is beautiful, and room service and reception were good. The restaurant was a letdown, though. Both the food quality and restaurant service fell well short of what you’d expect from a four star hotel, and the “ambiente” felt rather poor.

4/10
The staff were very service minded and did their best, and the beach was okay. Still, the value was poor: we paid €600 for one night in a double room with a sofa bed. The main building looks like something in Russia and needs restoration, as do the beach buildings.
