Leuca Residence

We’ve spent our second summer in this wonderful place. The owner has a huge heart, and she made our holiday even more special again this year. There’s a saying that you don’t need to be perfect for everyone, only special to someone. That’s exactly what she was for us. She’s truly a wonderful woman. The kitchen has enough equipment even for a long stay, and the mattress was good, though the old bed frame creaked. The apartment is in a private home, with sea views between the houses opposite and in the distance. The furniture is dated throughout. Cleaning was minimal: when I opened the kitchen cabinet to turn on the gas, I found crumbs and dust. The bathroom fixtures are old but work. There’s a large high window in the bathroom that looks into the bedroom. There’s no air conditioning, and without a breeze the place gets hot; the fan is noisy and not enough. The price may make sense for families or longer stays. Otherwise, you can find better options elsewhere.

The terrace is spacious and has spectacular sea views, and the sea is just a five-minute walk away. It’s a perfect apartment for a relaxing holiday in Santa Maria di Leuca. The hostess was friendly and helpful. Recommended.
