Villa Carmen

We arrived at Villa Carmen after paying everything through Airbnb, but the owner still asked us for a €300 deposit. We agreed, even though the rental was already fully paid. On the last day, he wanted to give back only half, saying there was "a little sand on the living room floor" and that check-in had been later than expected. The house was clean and in good condition, and the final cleaning was included in the rental price. Cosimo, I paid for that service, so you can’t try to charge some kids over a bit of sand from coming back from the beach! He even pretended to be the manager and acted like he was talking to third parties on the phone to justify keeping the money. Don’t stay here, or at least don’t hand over a deposit, because he’ll try to pocket it. There are plenty of scammers around. The important thing is to know what they’re worth: ZERO.
