The owner is easygoing and very nice, and everything was spotless. I honestly don't get how anyone could say it wasn't clean, the owner is almost OCD about cleaning. I stayed in two different rooms. Both were large, bright, quiet, and secure; one had a fridge, shower, and toilet, while the other didn't. The place is right next to the train station and city centre. You can use the kitchen, and I cooked every day. There's a fridge, good Wi-Fi, and a hot shower. Prices are very low in the off season. It's fabulous, one of the best places I've stayed all year and a huge improvement over my last stay in Catania. What more do you need? It's perfect.

It’s a very old place, and the bathroom and sheets weren’t very clean. For that price, even in summer, it really wasn’t worth it. A private refrigerator is a must, too.

Our room was very spacious, with its own bathroom and a balcony overlooking the sea. The furnishings are basic, but it was clean and excellent for the price, and we slept soundly all night. Some other rooms share bathrooms. There’s also a shared kitchen with a fridge, stove, water purifier, and more. The location is great for exploring the city centre on foot, and the owner, who lives in one of the rooms, is friendly and helpful.

The room was spacious, but there’s no private refrigerator. You have to go into the owner's private room to use one. One of the shared bathrooms is poorly maintained in every way, and most of the amenities described weren’t there. The beach is far away, and getting to a lido or public beach means taking a bus that’s always packed. I didn't have a good experience at all.
