Alessio was a very kind and helpful host. I recommend staying at Attico Agorà! The apartment is near the centre of Catania, with piazza Stesicoro very close by. It has two bedrooms with king-size beds, a spacious living room and a pleasant terrace. The neighbourhood isn’t the most fashionable, but it’s still very livable, with plenty of street-food restaurants, for example. I slept without any trouble and didn’t hear a sound from the streets, partly because the apartment is high up on the second floor.

Cold, smelly and moldy. A disaster. We stayed in February, and the air conditioning sounded like a tractor. It barely heated the place and made a lot of noise. The downstairs bathroom was damp, moldy and stinky. We arrived at midnight and left at 7, though we’d booked five nights.

We had a great time here. The host was easy to contact, and paid parking is nearby. The place works well for four people, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms with showers. The location is excellent, just two minutes from Villa Bellini.

I booked ten days in July 2025, but the owner asked me to cancel because he planned to put the property up for sale. He’s still renting it out today, which I find dishonest. If the price had gone up, he could simply have told us, and we would have paid the difference. I reported this to Booking.com, and they responded appropriately. For future bookings, please be honest and don’t leave people who booked several months ahead in the lurch. Being stranded two months before departure isn’t nice.

Everything we needed was there, and the standard was right for the price. The location was perfect, close to the main attractions. The host was wonderful and hospitable, very helpful and friendly, which made a positive difference to our stay right away.
