We really enjoyed our four nights at Acanthus B&B. The room was fairly spacious, with high, beautifully decorated ceilings and a little balcony over the Piazza. The bathroom was very good too. The only drawback was the 69 stairs, as the lift being built wasn’t ready for us yet. We took a taxi from the airport to the Piazza for €40. Catania is a beautiful town, full of life day and night, with loads to see and excellent restaurants.

We only needed a room for a few hours after checking out of another B&B, while waiting seven hours for our flight out of Sicily. Francesca was happy to help, found us a room, and arranged a taxi to the airport. It was bright, airy, and lovely. We didn't have time to try the other facilities.

The manager was kind and reachable on WhatsApp, even late at night. The room was huge, with a high painted ceiling, and the new shower room was spacious. The place is right on one of the main squares, in the middle of the main shopping street.

The owner was diligent about answering our questions and very helpful with tips for getting around Catania. The B&B itself is beautiful, set in an amazing classic building.
