B&B Casa Musumeci

The shared kitchen with the other apartment was a nice feature, and there are plenty of cafes and restaurants close by. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the center, with a metro and bus stop nearby. The room was clean and a good size, the bed was comfortable, and the view of Mt Etna was excellent.

Everything was just right, from the location to the condition of the place. I’ll definitely book with them again!

The area is convenient, with restaurants, fast food, a supermarket, and public transport about a 10-minute walk away. I also liked visiting the Saturday market, where things were inexpensive and seemed good quality. There’s no room service, but breakfast tickets are provided. The shared lounge is tiny and has a coffee machine, fridge, and kettle. Unfortunately, it only had disposable plastic cups, with no tea cups, mugs, or teaspoons, so making tea was pretty difficult.

Catania is well worth visiting, and this place seems fine for one night, but our three-night stay felt more like renting a holiday room than staying at a B&B. The owners were friendly, yet usually hard to reach, and didn’t seem very interested in how things were going. We had to ask most questions over WhatsApp; aside from a few flyers, there was little information about nearby places. We also had no hot water for a day before it came back. The place itself was very clean and quiet, with a lovely Etna view and a short walk to the center. Breakfast was a simple Italian style, but a supermarket is nearby, and there’s a fridge and the option to prepare something hot. Free water, juice, milk, yogurt, coffee, and tea were available.
