B&B Palazzo Perrotta

Mario, his father Giuseppe, and Anna, who made breakfast, were wonderful and did more than they had to. The place is beautiful and comfortable, right in the center of town. It was great to unload the rental car and then get around everywhere on foot. Catania is a beautiful city too.

The rooms are spacious, tastefully restored, and fitted with comfortable beds, climate control, and modern furnishings. The old building is a magnificent Catania landmark, right in the historic center and close to attractions, transport, and other useful places. Even with several people, the room size made for a comfortable stay. From booking through the service, everything was top notch and beyond what we expected. Marco, one of the owners, met us in person when we arrived, and nothing seemed too difficult. My friend Giuseppe and I stayed at B &B Palazzo Perrotta in Catania Sicily, and we'd have no hesitation recommending it or coming back when I visit Catanya. Thanks to Pippo and Marco. Marco was a fantastic host, sharing plenty of useful advice and two restaurant suggestions. We only managed to try one, and he clearly knows his food. After we bought a few too many oranges, he even went out that night and got us a new juicer. The room and stay were great. The building is right in the heart of town, though opening the gate takes some patience and technique. I think the elevator is meant for luggage rather than people. There wasn't a kettle in our room, but there was unlimited bottled water, bread, snacks, tea, and oranges, so that more than made up for it.

We'd happily come back. The rooms were really clean and nice, with high quality designer furniture in a recent renovation. It's central but on a quiet side street, so we could walk to all the sights and enjoy Catania's nightlife too.
