Casa D'aria

The location is right in the middle of lots of restaurants, bars, cafes, historical sites, and shops, and we'd stay here again in a heartbeat. The place blends original architecture with modern comforts. The rooms were clean, the beds were very comfortable, and the linens and towels were nice. All the staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Daria should be very proud of the beautiful hotel she created.

We stayed in room Amber (Ambra), and it was spotlessly clean and close to all the main attractions in the city center. The heater kept us warm through chilly March nights. There was a sitting area, a kitchenette, a wonderful hot shower, and everything else we needed to enjoy our stay.

The apartment was clean and nice, and we appreciated being moved to a different room with working air conditioning. The employee came to meet us and fix the issue after we were told to use an electric panel. But for our one-night stay, the disorganized communication wasn't worth the experience. We'd expected a hotel or B&B from the listing, but it was actually several apartments in a residential building, which was fine. We just never got instructions for entering. The person I spoke with on the phone was rude and insisted they'd already sent them. He kept asking my age and whether I knew how to read emails, and spoke down to me with comments like “it's easy” and “it's very simple,” and “this is how it is in Sicily.” My family and I have traveled all over Sicily and never had this problem. After the air conditioning didn't work, he said he wasn't sure why we didn't already know how to use the panel. He became more patient only after realizing we “were not a group of young women tourists,” which I found really problematic.

The rooftop terrace was a favorite, a lovely spot to relax and take in the views. We had a fantastic family stay at Casa Daria Aparthotel. The apartment was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed to be comfortable. Many attractions and restaurants were nearby, and the friendly, helpful staff made the trip even better. We'll definitely come back!
