The owner was very kind and made himself available. The property is right in the center of Catania and has a ground-floor kitchen, a small room with two single beds, an anteroom, a bathroom, and a tiny storage space under the stairs with a clothesline. A staircase from the kitchen leads to the mezzanine, where there’s a single bed in a hallway leading to the bedroom with a double bed. I gave it four stars because the cleaning could have been better, especially in the kitchen and bathroom. The pots and pans were particularly old and dirty, so I’d suggest the owner replace them with a new set and take more care with cleaning.

It’s 900 meters from Piazza Duomo and a bit farther from Ursino Castle, with free parking nearby. The apartment is small but charming, with a kitchen and living room, and a mezzanine bedroom that works well for three people wanting some privacy. The owner was very kind and helpful. I highly recommend it.

Massimo was fantastic as the landlord. Even after my flight was delayed by three hours, he picked me up, then came back for my wife just six hours later. Before we got there, he had switched on the air conditioning and chilled two bottles of water. The apartment is very central on a side street, with good restaurants within 1000 meters. It’s simple but has everything you need. A couple of basic wine glasses would be a nice addition, so you can enjoy wine from a proper glass rather than a water glass. I highly recommend it.

The owner is very kind and can provide shuttle service for a fee. This B&B is close to the center, but it’s on a noisy road. It has what you need to prepare a few meals at home, though the bathroom and cleanliness could use improvement. I’d recommend it if street noise doesn’t bother you. I couldn’t sleep.
