We picked this hotel after seeing the lovely photos on booking.com, but honestly they weren’t enough to make the stay work for us. The location is pretty good, though the fish market is close by and you smell fish whenever you step outside. The owner was friendly, but the included breakfast was a letdown because it was served somewhere else. The experience was awful, and the staff there were cheeky. It was just a bakery item and a drink, neither very nice. They should at least say clearly that breakfast is off-site and limited to coffee and a bakery item. Other hotels we’ve stayed at had more choices and a self-serve setup. The decor was nice, but there was only one AC for the double bed and the single bed, so the person in the latter bed was roasting all night 😬😂 The TV was stuck in the corner and was basically impossible to watch from there. Anyway, it may suit you, but it didn’t satisfy me.

Whenever a train goes by, the whole building shakes, and sleeping is impossible. The rooms weren’t clean either. We had the room with a hot tub and cleaned it ourselves before getting in. Breakfast wasn’t worth mentioning: the fruit was old and everything tasted odd.

The location is just a five-minute walk from the cathedral, with the fish market out front during the day and fresh fish to eat there in the evening. Getting there at night feels like an adventure. The B&B is on the first floor and was very clean, and our room had a luxurious style. The host gave us a city map and good tips on where to eat and what to see. The price felt fair for what we got.

The fish market is nearby, so the area smells like fish and looks generally unsavory, maybe unsafe. The fixtures seem like the cheapest Ikea options and are a bit worn. Check-in and checkout times are limited, and you’ll be charged extra if you need to arrive a little later or leave a little earlier. Compared with other places, it’s not good value for the price.

The rooms were really nice, and so were the breakfast and staff. The B&B is right in the city center, though its entrance is hard to spot from the street. Finding free parking nearby is very difficult.
