Good place to stay.

The owner was the best part for us, so friendly and attentive to what we needed. He made us feel comfortable right away and gave us useful advice for making the most of the city. The apartment itself was delightful, tastefully furnished, and had everything we needed. It’s in a strategic spot for enjoying the city at any time, and the cleanliness and services were impeccable. We’ll definitely come back ❤️

We had a spacious apartment with a bedroom, sofa bed, and two bathrooms, in a renovated building with an elevator. The owner was extremely helpful, and the central location made it easy to visit Catania. Some basics in the bedroom were missing, including bedside tables and coat hangers, and the bathrooms felt a little dated. The shower also drained poorly and there were no towel racks. Those small things could be fixed without much effort. If you’re looking for a modest apartment in a very central location, it may suit you. Parking is hard to find if you have a car, as it is across Catania.

Be careful with this place. We booked three nights through Airbnb after seeing good reviews. The owner then contacted us and moved the conversation to WhatsApp, saying he was going to America for two months and couldn’t host us, so we should cancel. We said no because the problem was his, not ours. He replied that he would have to pay a fine, while we would not. That seemed suspicious, so we asked to continue on Airbnb, and he agreed. When we asked there whether he really needed to cancel, he said no and warmly invited us. We pointed out that this contradicted his WhatsApp message, and he said he had other apartments and everything was fine. After that, he stopped replying and deleted all the WhatsApp messages. We reported it to Airbnb, which understood and cancelled our stay. It seemed possible we would have been left without accommodation, so I’d be cautious about booking here.
